Radio on the Road: TIS and HAR Radio

Low power Traveler Information Stations (TIS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) stations have been around
for more than thirty
years. Thousands of such stations
serve local communities as emergency
broadcast stations
for weather-related emergencies and tourist information and are run by municipalities or state governments around
the US. They also present interesting DX targets for AM band DXers.
